Resources
On this page you will find resources relating to student deaths, Speak Up!, and resource groups.
When a student dies
Various needs may arise when a student dies. Relatives may want to visit UiO, see the study halls, or meet someone who knew the deceased. Fellow students and friends may want to gather to grief and share memories.
The Chaplaincy is part of the preparedness group called "When a Student Dies". This group works to accommodate the different needs that may occur in the event of a student's death.
The administration will, as far as possible, follow up requests from family, friends, and fellow students. Contact the administration of the faculty/institute if you have such needs when a student you know passes away.
Most emotions become easier to bear if we can share them with someone. Contact our chaplains if you are a student and need someone to talk to.
When a student dies (For employees)
UiO has a resource group consisting of professionals who assist staff in the event of a student's death. Notify the group immediately if you have information regarding a death. Email: bistand-dodsfall@uio.no.
Resource group belief and faith
Can UiO schedule exams on religious holidays? Or perhaps something needs to be improved in one of the rooms?
The resource group can assist in questions regarding the field of belief and faith. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Speak up!
UiO strives for a safe and engaging learning environment and needs feedback from you to improve, both criticisms and praise! We especially ask you to notify serious, critical issues.
