Other activities

All students can participate in our activities. We organize activities that promote dialogue, understanding, and community among students of diverse faiths and those without any religious affiliation.

  • Grief support groups
    • We offer grief support groups in Norwegian and English. The groups are open to all students regardless of their faith and/or belief.
  • Grief support weekend
    • Are you mourning someone who has passed away? We plan to offer a grief support weekend in October 2027.
  • Walk and talk with a dog
    • Not all conversations need to take place in a counseling room. That's why we offer walk and talk sessions with a dog in training.
  • Nature conversations
    • Do you ever feel worried about climate change and the loss of nature? We share concerns and build hope in a new group for students in Oslo.
  • Morning meditation
    • Join the morning meditation group led by the Buddhist chaplain every thursday. After the sessions, Shindō is available for questions about meditation practice.
  • Meditation (Afternoon)
    • Every Tuesday, University chaplain Anne Anita holds meditation in Frederikke Chapel at 3:00 PM. The session is open to everyone who is interested.
  • Mass (Catholic)
    • Every month, we celebrate Mass in the chapel at the Frederikke Building. The Mass is led by the catholic chaplain, Fr Peter.
  • Dialogue course
    • Do you want to improve your dialogue skills? Join the dialogue course led by the humanist chaplain at SiO.
  • Pop-up events
    • How do you stay motivated to study? And what does love really mean to you? We organize pop-up events and ask thought-provoking questions to engage students.
  • Dødsbra!-group
    • Are you afraid of death? Or are you scared of living? Join the discussion group Dødsbra!, where we explore existential questions together.
