Nature Conversations

Do you ever feel worried about climate change and the loss of nature? We share concerns and build hope in a new group for students in Oslo.

In this dialogue group, you will be able to share thoughts and feelings related to climate change and ecological grief in a safe setting. We aim to create a space characterized by exploration and wonder rather than solutions. At the same time, it can be helpful to share experiences related to coping, self-care, and climate activism.

About Nature Conversations

The dialogue group meets five Thursdays at 18.30-20.00, and each session will have a specific theme. The focus of the conversations may vary slightly from session to session, but will consist of a check-in, a longer group discussion, and a reflection exercise.

Nature Conversations are facilitated by Birgitte Fredriksen (Humanist chaplain in Oslo) and Tuva Bræin (Chair of the Climate Committee, NPF) and will be held at the Green Office. Participation is free, and light refreshments will be provided.

Dates

10 April, 24 April, 8 May, and 15 May.

Organizer

Nature Conversations is a collaboration between the Green Office (UiO), the Chaplauncy and Humanist chaplain at UiO, and members of the Climate Committee within the Norwegian Psychological Association (NPF). We also collaborate with Klimapsykologisk Ungdomsforening, which has had success with similar events in Denmark.
