Anyone can experience grief when someone we have or have had a relation to dies. In this grief support group, you will meet students in similar situations, receive help in managing your grief, and can support others who have experienced loss. The sessions are based on the participants' needs and experiences.

Dates the group meets

The grief group meets from 2:15 PM to 3:45 PM and will start in September. The start date will be determined after an initial conversation.

About the grief support group

The group is led by Birgitte (Humanist chaplain in Oslo) and Jennifer (clinical social worker from SiO Health), and registration is required to participate.

In the grief support group, topics will include personal grief stories, longing and memories, how grief affects the body, emotions, family, relationships, and student life, as well as how to live with grief and loss.

This group is conducted in Norwegian, but we offer other groups in English. Please contact the Chaplaincy if you have any questions.
