Shared reading at the Science Library

Are you looking for a break from academic pressure and racing thoughts? We read aloud for you and invite everyone to join a discussion of the texts.

A man and a woman is reading.

Would you like to meet other students in a new way? Or perhaps you’d like to gain a little more insight into life or yourself? We will read texts that invite wonder and new perspectives collectively, both through the texts themselves and through conversation.

Birgitte Fredriksen (Humanist chaplain) will read aloud, and we'll pause along the way to talk about what we're reading. You can choose to simply listen or join in with your thoughts. No preparation is needed, and you're welcome just as you are - whether you have read a lot, a little or not at all!

Shared reading is a collaboration between the Humanist chaplain from the University Chaplaincy and the University Library. The event is free of charge and open to all students! No registration required.
