Morning meditation

Join us when the Buddhist chaplain leads the morning meditation at UiO.

A Buddhist sitting in the lotus position

Shindō leads the meditation group, which consists of two meditation sessions with a ten-minute walking meditation in between. The first session lasts for 25 minutes, and the second session lasts for approximately 20 minutes. The final session concludes with a short Q&A session if anyone has questions related to meditation practice.

You don't need to be a Buddhist to participate, but you should be able to sit still during the meditation. It is expected that you arrive at least five minutes before the group starts. It is possible to leave the group after the first session if you need to attend a lecture.

The morning meditation is free!
